Cowboy and Saddle Maker, Cache Morse

Cache B. Morse

Raised in the sagebrush-covered lands of Southern Idaho and Northern Nevada, I learned the artistry of leather working the old fashioned way; out of necessity. Working on cattle ranches and breaking my own string of horses out where no stores or neighbors were for miles forced me to hone my craft when fixing horse tack, holsters, gun belts or any other item the working cowboy relies on.

Working with leather and rawhide comes naturally for me along with the enjoyment of sitting and hand tooling and sewing usable items for human and horse. Although I've worked with leather since my teens it wasn't until winter of 2014 that I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study the long lived craft of Western saddle making by world renowned saddle builder, Cary Schwarz of Salmon, Idaho and found building beautifully artistic saddles is my true calling and a dream I've only recently been able to fulfill.

I am passionate about Western history, posses deep attention to detail and beauty and take my art to another level by bringing this all together. Not only am I a cowboy, but I live the lifestyle as well. The gear a cowboy or cowgirl relies on to do his or her job needs to replicate the Western culture, be built to last and remain reliable for a multitude of tasks and years all while making a statement in appearance. I know and understand what is required by the working cowboy, the equine competitor, pleasure rider or weekend outdoorsman when it comes to long lasting leather goods.

Building quality custom gear and tack are my passion and lifelong hobby. I hope you enjoy the items I share with you and always welcome your email or phone call.

My motto "Cowboy made-cowboy tough" holds true in all I create.

Thanks for taking a look!
